Why your trade website isn't bringing in enquiries (and how to fix it)
If your site looks fine but the phone stays quiet, the problem is usually one of three things. Here's how to find it and fix it.
Plenty of trade websites look perfectly decent and still bring in next to nothing. The work is there, the reviews are there — but the enquiries aren't. Nine times out of ten it comes down to three things: people can't find you, they don't trust you fast enough, or there's no obvious next step once they land.
Found, trusted, then asked
Being found is a search problem — the right pages, the right words, and a Google Business Profile that's actually filled in. Trust is a first-impression problem — real photos of real jobs, accreditations on show, and a site that loads quickly on a phone on site. The next step is a conversion problem — a clear "get a quote" that works in two taps, not a contact form buried three clicks deep.
Start with the leaks, not a rebuild
You rarely need to start from scratch. Fix the slow homepage image, put the phone number where a thumb can reach it, and add the three reviews that answer the questions every customer asks. Small changes to the right pages usually beat a full rebuild — and you can measure the difference in a fortnight.
This is a starter article — we'll expand it with worked examples soon.
